Outside of the power mushroom, invincibility star and fire flower, Mario's most popular upgrades come from Mario 3 and Mario World. Maybe you can convince me one way or the other. Of course, Mario World will be remembered for its many achievements, the most significant of which would likely be the debut of Yoshi. Mario 3 did all of things and more, forever evolving the franchise. While it's true that Super Mario World came later, and certainly featured better technical elements, it's tough to say it bested its predecessor, which established numerous staple elements of the Mario franchise. There's no denying Super Mario World is a brilliant game, but when I'm asked whether it's better than its predecessor, Super Mario Bros. One of its launch titles turned out to be one of the best platformers we've ever played - Super Mario World. The system's incredible library is known as one of the greatest in the history of the industry.
